We have the great honour and great responsibility to be a pioneering iGEM team formed by Institut Pasteur. Our team brings together about twenty Bachelor and Master students trained in fields varying from biology and chemistry to mathematics, Design and political science. We combine our skills and expertise, exchange ideas and inspiration. A dozen of researchers supervise us; they are staff scientists, post-docs and PhD students of the Institut Pasteur, experts in various fields of research. We believe that this diversity is strength for the success of such a global project.
The IGEM Pasteur 2016 Team is up !
This year we have students from several backgrounds that will bring their knowledge together in order to address an important health issue. Indeed, we have rallied students from:
- ESPCI (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie et Physique Industrielle),
- ENSCI (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle),
- Paris Sud – Jean Monnet (Law),
- Paris Diderot and Pierre and Marie Curie University (Life Sciences),
- ETSL (Ecole de Techniques Supérieures de Laboratoire),
- Lycée de la Vallée de la Chevreuse (Tech), and
- Columbia University NY (Life Sciences).
This year the students will work on several aspects of their project including Science, Ethics/Human Practices, Sponsoring, and Communication.
We will reveal the specific topic of this year’s project at the Zika Summit 2016, 24-16 April at Institut Pasteur !! Please stay tuned.
