Artificial Intelligence for Life Sciences
In the frame of Pasteur 2030 strategic plan which aims to advance expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) in biological research and develop a dedicated pathway to support the autonomy and growth of young scientists, experienced researchers at the Institut Pasteur with help of the Student Life Office and Education Center, have developped workshops for doctoral students to train them in theoretical bases of AI and its use in genomics, structural biology, neurosciences and image analysis.
The theoretical workshop (2,5 days) is mandatory for first-year PhD students while hands-on workshops are open for all Pasteurians.
Bioinformatiques et Data Science
Computational biology and data science are central in lifesciences and biomedical PhD thesis. The Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Hub, the Image Analysis Hub, the Data Management Core Facility, the Computing Center and the Scientific Information Resource Center (CeRIS), with thesupport of the Student Life Office, have developed this training program dedicated to the Institut Pasteur doctoral students to enable them to acquire or review fundamental concepts in thesefields, integrating them with practical exercises. Depending on their background, students are strongly encouraged to validate the mandatory data management, biostatistics and fundamental concepts of bioinformatics modules and to choose additional optionnal modules in bioinformatics, biostatistics and image analysis.
The core curriculum (1.5 days) is compulsory for first-year doctoral students, additional modules are recommended or optional.
Introduction to Open Science
This awareness training for doctoral students at the Institut Pasteur allows them to master the principles of transparency and knowledge sharing, to use collaborative tools to disseminate their work and to meet current research requirements.
Le common core (0.5 day) is mandatory for first-year year PhD students, optional training courses in the Open Science Course are also offered by the Scientific Information Resource Center (CeRIS), the HR Skills and Training Center, the Education Center and the Student Life Office.
