Chikungunya
Chikungunya is a viral disease transmitted to humans by the bite of Aedes albopictus and Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. Although rarely fatal, chikungunya can cause significant pain and debilitating symptoms that affect patients' quality of life. Existing treatments are solely symptomatic.
