We all make use of tools that we learned how to use intuitively. But this can sometimes mean that we overlook vital features.
The CeRIS library can help you get to grips with a number of tools that you may use every day but don't feel like you really master, by offering training courses (for Institut Pasteur staff) and recommending appropriate resources.

Do you offer Excel or InDesign training?

No. Training courses for Microsoft and Adobe tools, exclusively available for Institut Pasteur staff, are managed by the Human Resources Department as part of the staff training plan.

Do you offer training in how to use databases?

The library offers training in PubMed to the staff of the Institut Pasteur in Paris and the Institut Pasteur International Network. Reaxys training courses can be provided by the database producer.
For other databases, no group training is offered but the library can offer guidance or show the staff of the Institut Pasteur in Paris and the Institut Pasteur International Network how to use them on a one-to-one basis.

Where can I learn about research data management online?

The ELIXIR Research Data Management Kit (RDMkit) is an online guide containing good data management practices applicable to life sciences research projects. Developed and managed by people who work every day with life science data, the RDMkit has guidelines, information, and pointers to help you with problems throughout the data's life cycle.

I am in the Institut Pasteur International Network and I would like to take a training course by video conference. How do I go about it? What are the conditions?
