On the occasion of the first visit of the Director of the Institut Pasteur for 40 years, an honor guard welcomed Christian Bréchot and Marc Jouan on their arrival on the campus of the Institut Pasteur of Côte d'Ivoire

The visit of the Institut Pasteur in Côte d'Ivoire has shown the dynamism of this institute which had joined the International Network of Pasteur Institutes in 1989. Discussions focused on the new challenges of the Institut Pasteur in Côte d'Ivoire, a country that has managed masterfully the Ebola crisis. The rise in of the Institut Pasteur in Côte d’Ivoire is highlighted by the modernisation of a technical platform, a second P3 laboratory to meet biosafety international standards, the creation of a biobank and a remarkable cryopreservation chain. This development is strongly supported by the Ministers of Research and of Health of Côte d'Ivoire
