2022 ANNUAL REPORT

The year 2022 has seen the values embodied by Louis Pasteur, born 200 years ago, shine through: universality, excellence and humanism. This “Pasteur spirit” is still promoted today to meet the great scientific challenges of our time, to better understand living organisms and to improve human health.

Following on from the Annual Report new look, launched last year, the 2022 edition looks back at Institut Pasteur’s activities in three main sections: Conversations, Advances and Fundamentals. The first part provides a better understanding of the institute’s goals and its international dimension in a turbulent global context. “Advances” highlights the progress made around Pasteur’s four major missions: research, public health, innovation and education. The final section looks at the institute’s governing bodies and resources, as well as its commitment to a high-quality working environment.

In addition to these three main sections, the annual report includes a special report. Entitled “Sentinel”, it highlights Institut Pasteur’s role in public health, and in particular the missions of the French National Reference Centers, expert laboratories appointed by Santé publique France (National Public Health Agency), whose mandates have been largely renewed for a five-year period at the end of 2022.
