The DIM ELICIT (Empowering LIfe sCiences with Innovative Technologies) is organizing its closing event on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the Pierre-Gilles-de-Gennes Institute for Microfluidics (IPGG). The program will highlight the most emblematic projects of the DIM ELICIT with interventions in the form of pairs (biologist/technologist). This will be also an opportunity to exchange with the Greater Paris region scientific community on innovative technologies in biology.

FREE BUT MANDATORY REGISTRATION

The last annual symposium of the DIM ELICIT will take place at IPGG from 9:30 am to 5 pm and will be livestreamed (with Zoom). Only a limited number of seats are available, so on-site registration will be closed as soon as the rooms are filled out, on a first come first served basis.

A valid sanitary pass and I.D. are required to enter. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no catering on site.

Jointly coordinated by the Institut Pasteur (Jean-Christophe Olivo-Marin and Élodie Brient-Litzler) and the Pierre-Gilles-de-Gennes Institute for Microfluidics (IPGG, Patrick Tabeling), the DIM ELICIT aims to support the use and designing of disruptive technologies for research in life sciences, and in particular biomedical research, in the Greater Paris region. This DIM ELICIT is one of 13 Fields of Major Interest identified by the Greater Paris region for the 2017-2021 period.

Since its creation, the DIM ELICIT has funded around 60 projects with high innovation potential involving more than 160 laboratories and more than 20 industrial partners.

The DIM ELICIT encourages interdisciplinary collaborations since it brings together biologists and technologists from three differents scientific communities: microfluidics, biophotonics and waves, image analysis. The ambition of the DIM ELICIT is also to promote projects with a strong societal and economic impact, and thus likely to give rise to startups or which will interest industrialists.
