Description

This intensive module (one week of lectures, one week of experimental work) is devoted to presenting current concepts and new experimental techniques in the 3 Rs (DNA replication, repair and recombination) and genome stability.

The lectures cover the full range of topics relating to the 3Rs and genomic stability in various living organisms.

The various fundamental molecular mechanisms that ensure the stable transmission of genomic information, as well as their dysregulation, will be examined in detail using different organisms as examples. The consequences of such dysregulation will be analysed, taking into account their societal implications.

The experimental component will take place as part of an immersion programme at the UMR Stabilité Génétique...

The evaluation will be divided between the theoretical and experimental parts.

Theoretical part : Each student will be asked to produce a written summary of the lectures. Students' oral participation will also be taken into account.

Practical training : An oral presentation on the work carried out during the week will be made. The integration in the team and the work carried out by the students will be considered.
