Description

SARS, pandemic flu A(H1N1), MERS, Ebola, Zika, pulmonary plague, COVID-19, mpox, … during the last 25 years, we have witnessed an acceleration in the emergence of infectious diseases and pandemics.

This course aims at equipping students with an in-depth knowledge on pandemics origin and development, scientific reasoning in times of pandemics, and lessons from past pandemics for more effective response during future crises. It will also address pandemic prevention and preparedness. Lecturers are experts from the field who have been involved in the response to major pandemics of the past decades.
