Asia-Pacific Region
Our bilateral cooperations
Regional cooperations
The Asia-Pacific region is one of the world's major areas of infectious disease emergence due to a combination of factors including: diverse and disrupted ecosystems, high population density, and frequent population displacement.
The Institut Pasteur is involved in numerous joint research projects with the region's nine Pasteur Network member institutes with a view to tackling global health issues including threats linked to emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases based on a One Health approach.
More recent cooperation has focused on other, equally strategic research areas for the Institut Pasteur, including health at the extremes of life with a specific emphasis on the effects of aging.
