To better prevent future pandemics, researchers must understand the connections between human health, animal health, and the environment. From Cambodia to France, this report takes you into the field alongside researchers from the Institut Pasteur and their partners. In animal markets, laboratories, and even in the forest, they monitor viruses, bacteria, birds, and ticks to identify emerging risks before they become a threat to our health.

This approach, known as One Health, is based on a simple idea: human health also depends on the health of animals and the ecosystems around us. Featuring Arnaud Fontanet, Anna-Bella Failloux, and Sarah Bonnet (Institut Pasteur), as well as Erik Karlsson and Claude Flamand (Institut Pasteur of Cambodia).
