the language of cells

He's created an AI that can read... the language of cells!

Jérémie Kalfon, a doctoral student in the Institut Pasteur's Machine Learning for Integrative Genomics team, has developed scPRINT, an AI trained on over 50 million human and animal cells.

It can predict if a cell is sick, guess its type, understand how its genes are expressed... and it discovers links that take researchers years to find.

The goal: to build a virtual cell, to better diagnose, treat and understand diseases such as cancer. And that's just the beginning.
