The themes of this collaboration are:
- promotion of the strategy and support for WHO activities within the framework of its 13th work programme
- offering technical support to WHO, particularly in case of disease outbreaks, and assistance to countries to strengthen their health systems and capacities, in particular concerning access to data
- offering training to strengthen countries' capacities to comply with the International Health Regulations (IHR), and in the context of communicable diseases
APIN, created in 2011, is the legal entity of the International Network of Pasteur Institutes - RIIP.
This renewal highlights RIIP's major role in global health and the importance of its relationship with WHO.
This status allows APIN to participate in the World Health Assembly and to increase RIIP's visibility on issues related to its activities, in line with the previous statements over the last two years.
