The Startup team coordinates the process of creating startups based on Pasteur's discoveries. The team supports scientists at various stages of this process: raising awareness and providing training in entrepreneurship, identifying business creation potential, providing advice, and finding financial and industrial partners. Thanks to its integration in the innovation ecosystem, the Startup team supports the creation and development of companies through its extensive network of public, industrial and financial partners.

Alexandre Batch,
Business Development & Entrepreneurship Manager

Alexandre Batch joined the Institut Pasteur in 2015 as a Business Development & Entrepreneurship Manager. Today, he heads the Startup team, supporting researchers throughout the business creation process. His team is responsible for raising awareness of entrepreneurship among researchers through the organization of events and the provision of dedicated training, accompanying researchers through all stages of creation and supporting the startups created in their industrial development.

Biography

Trained as a medicinal chemist, he did a postdoc in the United States before joining the pharmaceutical industry, working in Drug Discovery. After several years of research, he completed an MBA to combine science and business, in order to apply his skills to the creation and development of life science companies. He joined the first French Biocluster, supporting companies in their development.
