2023 will be marked by two major celebrations: the 40th anniversary of the discovery of HIV and the 20th anniversary of the discovery of the first genes involved in autism. Punctuated by these two major events, this new year will illustrate how the Pasteurian legacy is passed on from generation to generation and inspires today’s researchers.
The year 2023 will be structured around the celebrations of the anniversary of two major Pasteurian contributions. In 1983, the AIDS virus was discovered. 20 years later, two genes involved in autism were identified. These commemorations will illustrate the thread that binds the Pasteurian community together and strongly reaffirm our essential mission: to improve human health.
The Institut Pasteur wishes to thank all those who support us and enable us to continue to work for the common good.
We wish you a very happy New Year 2023.
