Rachel Bellonne, a researcher at the Institut Pasteur, is heading into the field with her team to track down one of France's most feared insects: the tiger mosquito.

Found throughout most of the country, this mosquito can transmit viruses such as dengue, Zika, and chikungunya. And with climate change, the threat continues to grow...

With the EMa-Tigre project, supported by the Foundation Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale, Rachel and her team set traps, collect mosquitoes, and identify the viruses they carry.

The goal: to map the risk in order to better prevent and protect.
