Le CNRMHi est hébergé dans l’Unité des Infections Bactériennes Invasives qui est affiliée à l’école doctorale Bio Sorbonne Paris Cité (BioSPC). Des travaux de M2 et de thèse y sont encadrés.

Outre les activité de surveillance et d’expertise dictées par le cahier des charges, nous menons des activités de recherche expérimentales visant à élucider les déterminants et les mécanismes moléculaires et cellulaires qui caractérisent les infections invasives à méningocoque et H. influenzae dans le but de contribuer à la définition des meilleurs algorithmes du diagnostic, à la mise au point de techniques rapides et fiables, de trouver de nouveaux marqueurs de virulence et l’étude des mécanisme de résistance aux antibiotiques. Nous avons donc entrepris de qualifier ces souches, non seulement sur la base des données épidémiologiques et cliniques, mais également sur des critères expérimentaux. Ce type d’étude illustre bien, de notre point de vue, toute la richesse de l’intrication entre la surveillance épidémiologique, les typages moléculaires et l’approche expérimentale fondamentale, dans les activités de CNR.
