The Institut Pasteur expresses its deep sadness after the crash of the MH17 flight

The Institut Pasteur, all the scientists and administrative staff, wish to express their deep sadness after the crash of the MH17 flight. This tragedy is the result of stupidity and barbary. We think of all those people who died so tragically and their families. Also, we will remember all our colleagues who have dedicated their lives to the fight against HIV. We know how this will affect the international community and the international societies working on this major challenge for public health. In particular, we will remember Joep Lange and we are aware of the importance of his contribution. We also wish to express our support to his family and friends.
The commitment of the Institut Pasteur to contribute to the fight against HIV and AIDS can only be reinforced by such a tragedy.
