Teaching and Training

 

Research and teaching are closely interlinked. Teaching is an important activity of our team.

• Each year, we organize, in the Pasteur Institute teaching centre, the course of Genome Analysis (http://www.pasteur.fr/formation/Cours2007/genomes.html) combining benchwork and in silico analysis of genomic data.

• We are also involved in the course of Cellular and Molecular Genetics (http://www.pasteur.fr/formation/Cours2007/gencellmol.html) where technical and conceptual aspects of research in modern somatic cell and germ-line genetics are taught.

• Moreover, some of us (Ingrid Lafontaine and Odile Ozier-Kalogeropoulos) are involved in theorical and practical courses of genetics, molecular biology, (http://genetique.snv.jussieu.fr/) genomics and bio-informatics (http://abiboom.snv.jussieu.fr/Bioinfo/) at the BSc, MSc and PhD level at Université Pierre et Marie Curie.

• Recently, we have organized international courses for PhD students and young researchers on Genomics and Bio-informatics in Athens (Greece) http://www.pasteur-international.org/enseignement/Athens/genomics3.html and in Tunis (Tunisia) (http://www.pasteur.fr/~tekaia/BCGA.html)

• The Unit trains students at the Licence, Master and PhD level and is associated with 2 doctoral schools, LDV and B2M.
