Escherichia coli MLST Database
| |
Please note that three distinct MLST schemes (using distinct sets of genes) exist for E. coli: Institut Pasteur's MLST scheme (this site), Mark Achtman's MLST scheme (mlst.ucc.ie) and T. Whittam's MLST scheme (www.shigatox.net). A comparaison study is ongoing to establish correspondence between the two former MLST schemes.
The Escherichia coli MLST website contains two linked databases - one for allelic profiles and sequences, the other for isolate information. This structure offers advantages over a single database system. Further details can be found here.
