day tours scheduled to coincide with scientific sessions.
All participants including invited speakers should register. The Secretariat urges every participant to send in the registration form as soon as possible.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Refund of registration fees subject to notification of cancellation will
be as follows:
Postmarked before August 31, 1996 - Full refund less US$ 50 handling fee
Postmarked from August 31, 1996 - 50% refund
Postmarked from October 31, 1996 - No refund
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Participants wishing to present a paper are requested to submit an
abstract (on the enclosed abstract form) to the Secretariat no later
than JUNE 15, 1996. Participants are encouraged to complete the
registration form and submit together with registration fees as early as
possible. Scheduling and publication in the Abstract Book is dependent
on payment of registration fees.
In addition to the Book of Abstracts which will be distributed upon registration at the Conference, manuscripts will be requested from selected presenters which will be submitted for a journal publication.
LETTER OF INVITATION
Upon request, the Secretariat will send a personal invitation to
participate in the Conference. It should be understood that such
an invitation is only meant to help participants raise travel funds
or obtain a visa and does not represent a commitment on the part of
the Organizing Committee to provide financial support.
VISAS
For participants from most countries a visa is not required but we
suggest you check with your travel agent. Citizens of countries without
diplomatic relations with Israel should write directly to the
Secretariat no later than one month prior to the Conference, giving the
following information: Full name, nationality, date and place of birth,
passport number, date and place of issue and expiry date, arrival and
departure dates and flight numbers. The Secretariat will arrange for a
visa to await you at the airport. (The fee for this service is to be
paid directly to the authorities at Ben Gurion International Airport
upon receipt of the visa).
EXHIBITION
A professional/commercial exhibition will take place within the
framework of the Conference. For further information, please contact the
Secretariat.

CLIMATE AND CLOTHING
The weather in Jerusalem in November is mild and clear during the day,
and cooler at night. Temperatures range between 17 C during the day and
11 C at night. There is a possibility of rain. Clothing is informal for
all occasions.

TOUR OF JERUSALEM
Participants and registered accompanying persons are invited to
participate in the half day tour of Jerusalem, scheduled to take place
on Tuesday, November 26. Students/residents wishing to join the tour
will be able to purchase tickets at the Conference venue.

Visit Kibbutz Mitzpe Rachel, located within Jerusalem. Meet with members
of the unique form of settlement to learn about their way of life.

PAYMENT
Payment for accommodation, and optional tours reserved directly by
Target Tours, is payable (less deposit) upon arrival at the Target Tours
Hospitality Desk at the venue, with a 3% surcharge. However, if full
payment is made together with the reservation (at least one month prior
to arrival), there will be no surcharge. Target Tours accepts
travellers' checks, Eurocheques (in the currency of the issuing country)
and major credit cards. Payment in Israeli currency is subject to Value
Added Tax (currently 17%).
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Official check-in time to hotels is 14:00 and check-out is at 12:00
- Personal travel and health insurance is recommended.
- Target Tours reserves the right to change the hotel requested to those
of a similar grade or better if they are unable to confirm those
