  Annual Report

The Genomics platform carries out collaborative projects with different teams from the Institut Pasteur which is partly funded by the National Genopoles Network ( These large scale genomics projects are carried out using semi-automated techniques. Although the majority of projects concern the complete genomic sequencing of microorganisms or a low coverage genomic sequence, the platform also carries out sequencing of ESTs (Expressed Sequence Tags) and molecular typing of bacterial strains.

Projects realized in 2006 and current projects:

  • Low coverage genome sequencing of two strains of Candida albicans
Christophe d'Enfert – Fungal Biology and Pathogenicity Unit

  • Allelic diversity of human microRNAs
Luis Quintana-Murci – Prevention and Therapy of Human Diseases Unit

  • Partial genome sequencing of Legionella longbeachae, strain NSW150
Carmen Buchrieser – Genomics of Microbial Pathogens Unit

  • Allelic diversity of Rhabdoviridae
Hervé Bourhy – Lyssavirus Dynamics and Host Adaptation Provisional Unit

  • Allelic diversity of Plasmodium falciparum
Odile Puijalon – Parasite Molecular Immunology Unit

  • Study of the immunoglobulin genes organisation of Lama pacos
Pierre Lafaye – Developmental Genetics and Biochemistry Unit

  • Allelic diversity of human hepatoblastome
Marie Annick Buendia – Oncogenesis and Molecular Virology Unit

  • Genome sequencing of Helicobacter pylori (MALT lymphoma associated)
Agnès Labigne – Pathogenesis of Mucosal Bacteria Unit

  • Genome sequencing of E. coli 55989 (collaboration with Genoscope)
Chantal le Bouguenec – Pathogenesis of Mucosal Bacteria Unit
