Bioluminescence imaging of murine listeriosis.
Luminescent Listeria monocytogenes at 5X104 CFU per BALB/c mouse were imaged 4 days post-intravenous infection with an IVIS100 imaging system (Xenogen Corp.). One mouse displayed a characteristic signal of brain growth while the four other animals controlled the infection.
