Protein Biochemistry 2011-2012

Applicants must have a good knowledge of Biochemistry at the Master level.
This course will be taught in French.

This course aims at providing students with a theoretical and practical understanding of the chemical structure, conformation and functional properties of proteins, as well as of their specific interactions with various cellular components involved in important biological functions.
It consists of a series of lectures and practicals focused on the relationships between structure, function and the cellular integration of proteins.
Topics are: strategies for recombinant protein production, chemical and physical characterization of purified proteins, and computer-assisted structural analysis.


* Full-time, except Saturdays, from January 09, to February 17, 2012 (examinations included)

The Institut Pasteur Diploma will be awarded to students having successfully completed the final examination,

This course is run in agreement with the Université Pierre et Marie Curie and Paris-Diderot and a University Diploma may also be granted,

Credits for Masters (second year) from Universités Paris-Descartes, Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris-Diderot and Orsay-Paris11, for students registered at this universities (masters),
