Organized by the Department of Neuroscience of the Pasteur Institute the University Pierre et Marie Curie, UPMC.

This course includes state-of-the-art conferences and cutting edge laboratory experiments related to the molecular and cellular aspects of the nervous system development, plasticity and pathology. Topics include: embryonic and adult neurogenesis, formation and maturation of neuronal networks, regeneration using stem cells and gene therapy, contemporary cellular and behavioral tools for studying the organization and functioning of the nervous system.
The practical course will stress new and complementary experimental approaches and methodologies (from cell imaging to behavioral investigations) to elucidate nervous system development and functioning in various animal models (xenopus, chick and mouse).

This course will be taught in English
