Stages of a Clinical Research project

All clinical research projects follow the same basic process:

  • defining the clinical research project
  • drafting the research protocol and other documentation
  • examination by the Clinical Research Committee for research involving the Institut Pasteur or its staff
  • regulatory procedures (ethics committee(s), health authority(ies), data protection)
  • setting up the research
  • monitoring the research
  • analyzing samples and/or data
  • publishing research findings

Together with the other research support structures at the Institut Pasteur, the Clinical Research Department (PIRC) offers assistance to all scientists whose research is conducted under the auspices of the Institut Pasteur to help them get their clinical research project off the ground.
