Document supply & inter-library loan

The Media Library offers a document supply and an inter-library loan service to the Institut Pasteur's members, as well as to the members of the institut Pasteur International Network (RIIP). This service seeks to provide access to the material (journals, books, theses) not held at the Media Library :

Full-text articles & monographs' photocopy may be ordered.
Books may be borrowed to other libraries as well.

From a bibliographic reference

1. Log on to PubMed , Web of Knowledge , ScienceDirect, or all other publisher sites.
2. Search across one of these databases.
3. Select a bibliographic reference.
4. Click on the icon in PubMed, in Web of Knowledge.
5. Click on "Commandes directes de documents". The order is placed.

From the article order form

1. Log on to the media library catalog
2. Click on "Effectuer une commande de documents" in Services on the home page
3. Fill in the form (orange fields are compulsory).

Orders may be checked or cancelled through the "Visualiser mes commandes" link in the form or "Espace personnel/Historique de mes commandes"

The document supply service works with international suppliers :

— Inist (Institut for Scientific and Technical Information)
— Subito (German, Austrian, Swiss service )
— BIUS (Bibliothèque Interuniversitaire de Santé)

Articles or books are delivered within a few days (from 2 days to 1 week). Once received at the Media Library, the articles are sent by email or internal mail depending on the supplier conditions.

The staff in Paris is given the prices for information only since there isn’t any internal re-billing anymore. Nevertheless, those prices are still valid for RIIP staff.
