Postdoctoral position, Innate Control of HIV-1 Transmission at the Mucosal Level

Research Program :

Innate Control of HIV-1 Transmission at the Mucosal Level

 

Our team is working on the control of HIV-1 transmission in the female genital tract including the materno-fetal interface in human. We are particulary interested in the role of the innate immunity in the inhibition of HIV-1 infection.

 

A research opportunity is available in our team to study the role of the activation of Toll-Like Receptors (TLRs) and inflammation in the protection of HIV-1 transmission in the female genital tract.  Deadline for funding applications are in january and march 2014.

 

The applicant should have a Ph.D. degree and an experience in cellular virology and immunology. An expertise in mucosal innate immune responses will be particulary appreciated.
